| International Radiators (IRL)
can trace its history directly to the UK’s first honeycomb automotive radiator
plant – established by Oscar Serck in 1909. Serck Ltd later became
the UK’s largest thermal technology group. The Serck honeycomb
remains our logo to this day. In 1984, the Serck Group and IMI Marston
merged their cooling technology and service activities creating Serck
Marston, the largest of the Serck operations at that time. The manufacturing
businesses within this new Group were named International Radiators. From IMI Marston, we acquired the activities of Marston Radiators, originally JW Lawrence Ltd.This company was a leading independent manufacturer of coolers for aircraft, off-road vehicles and generator sets. We integrated the activities of Oxford Oil Coolers into our Leicester site in 2003. Originally established as part of Osburton Radiators, Oxford Oil Coolers shared a factory with the MG Car Company – providing cooling solutions for the first Morris motor cars and famous aircraft such as the Spitfire, Hurricane, VC10 and Vulcan bomber. |
